BATAM

So... some time last week, my friends and I planned a trip to Batam! It wasn't an overnight kinda thing. We pretty much just went there in the morning and headed for home in the evening. We had wanted to go to Batam since.. forever, but because of everyone's busy schedules, there were so many times where we had to cancel at the last minute etc. Thankfully last week, most of us were able to make it and so off to Batam we went. Sadly, Cheryl, Chin, Cleon and Hongming were unable to join us! :( So... I asked my friend Kalebh to join us! The more the merrier right?
So I met up with Kalebh earlier in the morning first for breakfast at Maccy'Ds! Had my favourite Big Breakfast to prep me up for the day's adventure! Met up with everyone else at around 10.30am at Vivocity! :)
So happy Akhbar managed to join us! He's honestly the life of every outing I swear! He's just soo funny lah, I love him! :D One of my closest friends too. So thankful to have met this dude in Poly.
So after that, Junping, Huaizhi and Kenny met up with us as well. We had time to spare and so we just walked around Vivocity for abit. I know I probably should have taken more photos but let's just blame it on my lazi-ness that day! So yes, I am sorry. Hahah. We headed to Toys R Us. No idea why we went there, but we did! So there was this section where they had plenty of toy masks for sale. Kenny, being the crazy fella that he is, put it on and started scaring the little kids in the store. So much so, they ran away crying. Hahaha, okay that was mean but if you were there, you'd probably be laughing as hard as all of us.
So.... as time passed, it was finally time to head towards the Ferry Terminal!
Everything in this store was crazy cheap!
Time to board the ferry! I was super excited at this point! :D FIRST TIME GOING TO BATAM! Honestly, the only thing I was looking forward to was the massage. hehe.

So after a 45-50 minute boat ride, we finally reached Batam! :)

How cool, they have this indoor train ride. No tracks or anything, the guy was practically 'driving' it! Hahha.
So after booking our return ferry back home, we headed for our Seafood lunch! :D Booked 2 different cabs to bring us around the entire day. It was around 50 SGD per cab?
Finally reached our destination!

There was more food la but I think I was too hungry to snap photos! We also ordered Mussels, Chilli crab and more!
After lunch, the boys left for shopping while Kalebh and I headed off for a Massage! :)
Just look at how cheap it is!! In Singapore a full body massage along easily costs at least $100!
We bought the Balinese 2 hour Aromatic massage package! :) Only $36SGD!?
Headed up to our separate rooms! :)
First, a foot scrub and then our massage began!
The best massage I ever had in my life I swear. It was definitely worth every cent I paid for! I'd definitely go back to Batam just for this again!
Oh in case you guys don't know.... during a full body massage, the only thing you're allowed to have is your underwear on. Both guys and girls! (fun fact? haha)
I was pretty upset that after our massage ended. We had to leave for the Ferry terminal at around 5.30pm. The hours definitely flew by so quickly! If only we had stayed longer... but oh well... there's always a next time. Sadly, I didn't have time to shop either. :(
Anyways, goodbye Batam! Though it was a short stay, it was indeed pleasant, despite the really sunny weather. :) Till we meet again! *waves*
