Namira's Midnight Surprise!

I always love birthdays, especially when it comes to a friend's birthday because it gets my creative juices all working and it gets me all pumped up to plan a surprise. So on the 26th of August it just so happened to be Namira's birthday, one of my closest friends.. or you could say one of my bestfriends. Met her back in Poly through our CCA Stagearts. The both of us were in the Makeup, Hair and costume department. Who would've thought that years later(despite being in totally different courses and parts of the school - I'm in the Business Block, she's in the Nursing block), we actually wounded up being really good friends and eventually bestfriends.
I can honestly tell her anything and everything because when I'm with her, I can totally be myself because really, the woman's crazier than I am. Hahaha!

She's probably the most random friend I've ever met. Tell me, do you actually have a friend who calls you up at random times of the day telling you she needs to shit? Or telling you she's scared so she wants you to keep her company on the phone? Or she's in her pyjamas? LOL. I know right. Totally random but that's what I love alot about this girl. It's all about how random and crazy and fun she is that made me really cherish this friendship between me and her so much. And now I know that she's definitely one of those friends I don't ever want to lose because I don't know what I'd do without her. *emotional*. Not trying to be mushy and all but I'm glad I met this girl. :')

So anyway on the 26th it wasn't really her actual birthday party since she's going to be having an actual party somewhere in September. The only thing I thought of was the oh so cliche midnight surprise! So I met up with Kalebh and the both of us headed down to "The Icing Room" to decorate a cake. I love the cakes from the icing room because thought and effort is put into decorating the plain white cake. The cakes come in two different flavours. Vanilla with fruits inside or Blackforest with berries. Even though it's so common these days to have cakes decorated at the icing room for birthdays, honestly... if I had to choose betwen a regular cake and an icing room cake for my birthday, I'd be so much more touched if it was from the icing room... or better yet, baked from scratch! Hahaha! It's all about the effort. :) *hinthint* hehehe.

And let's not forget how fun it is to actually decorate your own cake! It's like painting/drawing. The cake is your canvas!

So after about an hour or close to an hour.... this was the final result of the cake!

So after that, Kalebh and I headed over to Namira's house where all of us gathered outside her gate(together with Nadiah her sister and sister's bf). Sadly the few others I asked along for the surprise were not able to make it. :( Oh well.

So anyway, Kalebh and I waited there for quite abit because Namira and Nadiah were out for a movie you see, and it took them so long to get back. The surprise only happened past midnight. -.-
