AKHBAR'S 21ST BIRTHDAY

Last Sunday, I finally got to meet up with Falila and gang! It was so nice to see them after such a long time. Oh how time flies.Haja and Karthik are now in the army. Strange seeing them with a shaven head. Totally not used to it. But I guess this is something that all guys have to go through!
So all of us gathered at Shaheena's for a hari raya visit! Okay you're probably wondering why am I not in the traditional outfit. Well, that was only because I was going to head out to meet Junping and the others for the remaining part of the night. So yeah... don't diss! Heh.
Wearing braces again has been such a pain in the ass. I don't know. I used to really love having my braces on back then. So much so, I never wanted to remove them(like I'd even skip dental appointments just so I could prolong the process. Haha). But now... all I want more than ever is to get these these darn metal brackets and wires out of my mouth. It's annoying not being able to chew ice(my guilty obsession), and it's annoying that I can't properly chew my food properly. Oh and it's even more annoying when food gets stuck in your braces. It's totally gross I know! Every person who has had braces on before would probably know how I feel.
Just a few more months.... Gah....it'll all be worth it in the end!

I know i know... i'm the only non-indian in the group.LOL. it's so funny that I have so many different racial group of friends. I have my indian gang(falila, shaheena etc). I have my chinese gang(Junping,Kenny, Chin,Huaizhi etcetc). I have my Malay and other races gang(Namira, Wawa, Nadiah, Shahrin etcetc). And I have my boyfriend's gang who are mostly Chinese.
Where my EURASIAN PEEPS AT?! hahaha!
But yeah lah... i guess it's pretty fun being able to socialize with so many different races! :)

So after visiting at Shaheena's house and having a scrumptious dinner we headed to Little India for Akhbar's birthday party at the Banana Leaf Apollo!
Met up with Lawrance and a few other familiar faces from NYP.

Excuse the weird facial expression. I'm still trying to get used to smiling with braces! Hahah!
So all of us helped ourselves to the wonderful buffet spread of some of the more popular Indian dishes like briyani and naan!
And right after that, it was time to cut the cake!!

Overall, it was such a good night! Right after, Akhbar, myself, Chin, Jeren and Junping met up and headed to a THAI DISCO? LOL. Just for the fun of it! I don't know what we were thinking but it was still fun nevertheless! An awesome day that was well spent, in my opinion.
Can't wait for the next meetup with the same bunch. I miss them already. :( xx
