Women's FW12 - SILVIAN IMBERG
..........................................................................
Thanks to Publicist PR, I managed to get an exclusive invite to Silvian Imberg's fashion show at the Women's Fashion Week in late November, last year! Yes yes, I am a little bit (okay very slow) in posting this up! But if you read a couple of my previous heartfelt entries... you'd probably know the reason why. I was just at a stage in my life where I just lost interest in everything... Okay la.. not so much everything. Mostly just blogging... but now with all the pictures in my camera just piling up.. I figured it's about time to get this space updated! And for some strange reason as I am typing this... I actually feel pretty excited to post this up! Looks like this blog will be revived! Yayyy~ :D And when July comes, there'll be tons and tons of entries for sure since the only way I can update you guys about life in Perth, will be pretty much through this little baby(my blog). Soooooo.... I'm excited :) But anyway, I'll talk about Perth in another entry! Let's get on with this one, shall we? :)
So, as I was allowed to bring a plus one with me to the event, I called Jeanette because I figured she'd enjoy it as much as I would! :)
So before we get to the pictures.... here's some information about the designer, Silvian Imberg.

Love love love her dress!

Tadahhh! There weren't a whole bunch of people. Most of them looked super rich and 'atas' (high-class), and I felt so out of place, especially since alot of them were middle-aged and above. Haha

They served finger foods and drinks before the start of the event to all the guests. :)

Met these bunch of guys who just approached Jeanette and I, and started talking to us. Haha, awkward much.

After which it was time to enter the main room for the runway show! Was super excited at this point because I remembered how awesome Men's Fashion Week was, the last time I went. Plus it was my first time attending Women's Fashion Week! hehe

And the fashion show begins!

The collection was just filled with so much colour and vibrance. Really loved it! :)

There were so many more models of course... but sadly my camera failed at snapping clear shots. Most of them turned out blurry, so these are the few best ones! Meh D:

Ahhhh I love this so much!!! So gorgeousssss.

Sigh.. self esteem totally dropped after the fashion show. I want to be that tall and skinny too!
Right after the fashion show, I was invited backstage to meet the designer of the fabulous collection! :)

Silvian Imberg on the left! :)

Met up with the fabulous Silvian Imberg and managed to interview him, with the help of Jeanette.
Jeanette: Hi! My name's Jeanette. And this is Sofia. We
were wondering what inspired your collection?
Silvian: I was looking for some fresh new colours which are not neon colours - which are everywhere. So,it's very difficult to find bright colours which are unique. So I was stuck with the yellow, and the blue and pink. Which are old, but you can present them as new as possible. And I always like skins, and leopard prints, snake prints.
Jeanette: Ohh so you even design the prints yourself?
Silvian: Yes, I design all the prints myself.
Jeanette: Wow~ Any inspiration taken from your prints? Is it really art nouveau based?
Silvian: I find inspiration, just everywhere. When I go to theatre, the costumes, they are fantastic. And I take some of the elements and transform it into something new that I can use.
Jeanette: Then, what would be your favourite theatre play or musical that you've seen that inspires you the most?
Silvian: Uhm... well I like to go to theatre in London.
[and he says stuff.. which I didn't manage to catch.. because he went out of point. oops :x]
Sofia: So what do you like and dislike about designing clothes?
Silvian: First of all I like the women. *laughs*. So I like to design something very nice for them. And what's exciting for me was last year.. we started to sell in Asia, and for me it's the new type of woman that I have to dedicate myself and learn. This is what I do.
Jeanette: What do you think you'll be planning for your next collection?
Silvian: Some have asked me before... I will not tell you. I'm already working on it. It will be a complete change of colours.
Sofia: Okay last question. Where is your store located?
Silvian: There is my shop here in MBS. B1-68, Galleria Level, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Sofia & Jeanette: Okay Thank you so much!
Silvian: Thank you very much.

After the interview, Jeanette and I headed back to her place, where Bryan joined us soon after!

After which, we headed to Zouk to end the night with a bang! Such an awesome day, that was!
Alrightey, till the next entry! :)
Lots of Love,
Sofia Dendroff
