A Day At Escape Theme Park!
So on Sunday, Shafiq and I decided to spend our day differently instead of the usual bumming around at his house, chilling out at Ehub and watching movies. We decided to do something a little more EXCITING.
So we thought...
When we got there, I swear I was so excited I couldn't even think. I should have asked about the rides and stuff, but I was just soooo excited thinking about the amount of fun Baby and I were going to have inside!
Once again, so we thought....
Before we went inside, I was seriously so excited. Look how happy we look. Okay la, not really showing but believe me, I was!
After my horrible experience at the Theme Park, I seriously want to tear this sign down and laugh at the people who run this place. 360 degrees of FUN my ass. It was anything but fun. Boring was what I'd like to call it. Thank Goodness Baby was there at least otherwise would've have just freaked out the moment I stepped into the much anticipated Theme Park. Was really disappointed la. Escape Theme Park used to be sooo much more fun and happening when it first opened many years ago.
The park was pretty empty. You'd think that was a good thing right? Nobody, so you can ride all the rides without having to queue.WRONG!
Baby and I counted, there were less than 10 rides in the entire theme park, in fact I think there were about 8 or less than that.
.
Paying $17.70 for an entry into the Theme Park to go on like less than 8 rides is wayyyyyy overpriced. The carnival games were also a disappointment, because we still had to PAY money to play the games there and though it has been many many many many dinosaur years, I'm disappointed that the Games have not been changed until now. It's already a disappointment that SO MANY RIDES ARE GONE, it would have been nice if the Carnival Games were free of charge at least and if they added more games.
.
In case you wanted to know what rides are gone, here's naming a few, Flipper,Pepsi,Cadbury Inverter, Rainbow, Teacups(so sad, my favourite) and others la. The park just looked so empty. Shafiq was telling me, "Tourists come here, sure laugh at us sia". Why? Because as compared to themeparks in foreign countries, say America, theirs are humongous and filled with probably hundreds of rides, while ours, omg, you can practically count the number of rides with your hands. Goodness goodness. Pretty embarrassing for Singapore if you ask me. :P Might as well just close the place down instead of overcharging Tourists who are clueless of the place, thinking they're gonna have a day of fun! As I walked around the Theme Park with Baby, I could see people yawning away, most of them with gloomy sulky faces.
.
Gone are the days when the Theme Park used to be so lively and full of people and happy faces. Gone. ):
Anyway, here are some pictures of the Theme Park that I took. Well pretty much what's left of it luh. Notice how deserted the place looks....
This was practically the highlight of my Visit. Go-Kart Racing is always fun. But then again, the queue was pretty long. Doubt the Teens and Adults wanna sit on the Kiddy rides. There aren't much rides for Adults if you ask me. :P
The queue used to be so long(back when the Theme Park was popular). This is considered short.
Sat on Wet & Wild. I think they don't filter the water or change the water because it was seriously so dirty. Baby and I were so disgusted when I looked over our boat to find so many black particles and unmentionables floating in the water.
LOVE THIS RIDE! :D
This ride made me so happy. If they didn't have this ride uh... trust me, I would have turned into a Female Hulk.
Even though it has been years, this ride... *happy sigh*, still gets to me. I'll never get sick and tired of this ride. It still scares me whenever I'm at the top, my heart literally feels as though it's popping outta my chest.
Deserted park.
Play & WIN?!! WIN?! Nonsense la, Baby and I wasted 12 bucks over on coupon tickets. We didn't even win anything. :(
Played and lost.
Played and lost.
Played and lost. It's pretty evil of the Theme Park to have spaces on the wheel that say, "Have a Nice Day". How can you freaking Have a nice day when you LOSE? Retards i tell you, pure retards.
Ok, the Haunted House was pretty scary in the beginning, but then there were too many fake props used. It was more of like a Haunted Museum if you ask me. Where are the GHOSTS supposed to be? Haunted houses should have scary people trying to scare us(visitors) right? The whole adventure in there was pretty much like walking through a maze, except inside the maze there were many fake props. Fake ghosts, fake guy on electric chair, blabla. It would have been nice if a real person was dressed as a ghost chasing the guests inside or smth. That would have worked and scared the hell out of me. I just very much needed to scream, but this Haunted House didn't give me the chance to, because well, it wasn't scary. ):
Family Coaster. It's sad that this is the only Roller Coaster Ride in the Theme Park.
Messy hair cos it was wet from taking the Wet & Wild Ride.
'See You Again', the sign says.
Hmm.... I think not. :P
After Escape Theme Park, Baby and I headed over to Baby's house. Kak Nurul, Abang Sofian, Kak Diah, the kids, Baby's mum and dad were all there. Had a delicious bowl of Kway Teow Kerang(YUMMYYUMMY!) after a tiring day at the Park.
All of us sat down, talked, bonded and played with the kids. Just love Kak Diah's kids, super super adorable!
The entire family sat down watching Kak Nurul on TV! Hahah!
Uh Oh.... what did Sharleez do to Abang Sofian aka Papa Yan to Sharleez. HAHA.
At the end of the day, they're as close as ever. They're a really funny pair. Joke joke, play play a lot. Sharleez even considers Abang Sofian her bestfriend. Cute or what! :)
Myshaaaaa! :D
.
Overall it was an alright day I guess! :) Not too bad!
I'm excited for this Thursday! :) Baby, his family and I will be heading to the ZOO! :) Been quite some time since I've last been there.
.

ON SUNDAY, IT'S BALI ! :D EXCITED AS HELL! Plane Tickets booked already! :D Hotel still in the midst of booking. Will blog again about Bali once everything's been settled. But other than that, it's already confirmed that we'll be leaving for Bali on Sunday morning with Baby, his older sister Ili, and Sister's boyfriend Bert! :D
Can't wait to start packing my luggage. Woohoooo!!~
