Poppy Bracey was found in her bedroom after returning home from her Manchester school. The teenager was taken to the hospital, but later died.

Poppy Bracey hanged herself with her school tie when other students picked on her after they found that she lived in foster care, Daily Express reported.She had been told to join a model agency for ‘ugly people’.

A desperate Poppy once took a knife to school in order to self-harm. But, the knife was found and she was sent home.

I feel so deeply saddened after hearing about this from my bestfriend Melissa Stewart. I've been wanting to blog about this for quite some time now but always didn't find the time to.

How is it some people can be so cruel? I honestly wonder, what must have been going through this 13 year old's head, during her last final breaths. Was it worth it in the end? I wonder if those jealous bullies are feeling happy or guilty about all this. Beacuse apparently, they'd 'won' hadn't they?
They drove her to the point that she actually took her own life.

I may have never known or met you, but the things I see people say about you, you must have been such a sweet girl. You never deserved that kind of treatment. In fact, nobody ever deserves that kind of treatment.
I wonder what is it drives these bullies sometimes.. do they even have a heart? A soul..? Sometimes I hear people talking so much about hating hypocritical people, when they themselves without realizing are hypocrites too. I have to admit, I can be pretty hypocritical at times. I think most of us are. All those times when I've ever hated on a person yet showed a nice side in front of them, there is never a day when I don't feel guilty about it.

The fact that Poppy paid with her life for it, really makes me think, sometimes, all the hurtful things that people say to others, has it ever occurred even for one second in their head, that what they actually say, could silently and secretly inflict harm upon that person. How'd you know if that person wasn't secretly slitting her wrists, or having suicidal thoughts?
Think people. There's always a limit to everything. Shouldn't everyone just be grateful with what God has given them? Why is everyone(k, not everyone, but most) always be so jealous of people who are better looking? If you ask me, beauty always comes from within.
And it's so sad that this girl, who had so much ahead of her, sooo much to live for, just couldn't take it anymore and decided to just end her life. Just like that. Life's so fragile, so precious. You only live once. It's sad to hear that sucha precious life was ended in a blink of an eye. ):

Calling people Ugly doesn't make you any prettier. Calling someone fat, doesn't make you any skinnier. Calling someone dumb, doesn't make you any smarter.

The reason why I'm even blogging about this, is because in a way I can relate to Poppy. I know what it's like to be bullied. Cos I've been there. I know what it's like to feel so down in the dumps that sometimes crazy wild thoughts run through your head. Thoughts that shouldn't even be going through your head.
And I know what it's like to be mentally tortured with words that hurt. Ugly, fat, stupid, yadayada, we all always put up a strong front don't we? Telling ourselves words like these will never get to us, but in a way, it does. I'm glad I got over it, and that I didn't let bullying get to me. I thank God everyday I'm still alive, and that I'm still breathing. Because like I said, life is precious. You only live once, so treasure your lives.
