I'll Keep My Mouth Shut Next Time. HAHA.

Okay so I'm finally home after a long gruelling 7 hours of school. Thank God Daddy came to fetch me, so I hada nice nap in the car.
Reached the foot of my block to find out that the worst thing about living on the 21st floor happened.Yes, the lift broke down!
What sucks was that, the other lift was undergoing upgrading. The ONLY lift working broke down and people who waited for over half an hour gave up waiting in the end despite calling the Technicians to come down to get it fixed. Children from school, maids, adults who just returned from work all took the long long way up.

I was with my Dad, and I told him I'd race him to the top. He took slow, small steps, while I practically jumped two to three steps at a time, shouting with excitement to my dad, "Hurry up! Don't walk like an old man!". AHA, boy should i have NEVER said that.
This situation kinda reminded me of that old tale that teachers and parents used to read to us kids in Primary school, "The Tortoise and the Heir".

I got really tired after reaching the 9th storey and my dad who took slow, small and steady steps soon caught up with me from way behind. Within minutes, he was already ahead of me, laughing away!
Soon after, he was nowhere in sight, because I was already panting like crazy. So tired that my knees were all wobbly and that I had to take short breaks in between flights of stairs.
And yeah, he won! Darn it. Me and my big mouth. HAHA!
