Present Hunting With Nikkie Gomez! ..............................................................................
. Sooo on Friday I met up with Nikkie(like finalleh) to go present hunting for Baby's birthday coming up on Wednesday! :) I've missed that girl! We used to hang out a lot but now? We rarely do. Which is why I was really so glad that she was able to meet me after not hanging out for months! The last time we hung out was January the 2nd if I'm correct, during her New Years Party. That was really long ago! Anyway Nikkie and I went to quite a few places. From Bugis Street, to Bugis itself, to Iluma, Mustafa and even Little India. It was pretty much a tiring day, walking here and there, but it was fun! :) . I'm really psyched for Baby's birthday yet nervous. Psyched cos well, it's HIS BIRTHDAY(and I get to spend it with him and his family!). There'll be a themed party where everyone has to dress up according to a theme! I was thinking Goth, Baby was thinking Hollywood and Baby's Dad was thinking IMH. hahaha psychotic people... hmm, that would be really interesting. The theme is undecided for now but I do hope it'll be something easy! . And I'm nervous because I really do hope he'll like my present/s! I'm not done with it yet! In fact, I've still loadssss to do and finish up. If the final products are satisfactory, I'll take pictures of the presents and show it to you guys. But if it's PLAN FAILED, then too bad. HAHA, embarrassing uh. .
When we were in Bugis, Nikkie suggested taking Neoprints out of blue! The last time I took neoprints was likeeeee, 2 or 3 years ago! HAHA! But it was fun yet a waste of money. The pictures weren't as nice as we wanted it to be! Oh wells, consider the 10 bucks a donation to charity. ;P
After Bugis, Iluma and Mustafa, Off we went to explore Little India! Nikkie tried out Henna! I didn't wanna try despite the 2 Indian Ladies there pestering me and forcing me to give it a try. I accidentally said, "I don't like Henna", and I think they got offended. The whole time, they kept staring at me as though they wanted to kill me sia. I swear it was freaking scary. LOL.
But I must say, it does look pretty nice.. when it's BLACK! I don't like it when it's brown luh :( Otherwise I'd definitely give it a try! The designs are so pretty(:
Met up with Baby in the night for dinner at Simpang and then headed back home! :) .
MEETING THE ROSLANS .............................................................................. . Here's the Meet the Folks post as requested by some of you! :) In case you're dyingggg to know what happened, wait no longer because I, Sofia, shall tell you. Ahaha. If you're wondering what on earth I'm actually talking about... well, my family went over to Baby's house for dinner at his place on Saturday. It was the first time that both families actually met. I think I must have been more nervous than my family members because I really really wanted things to go well and smoothly. My dad met Baby's parents before(when he sent me off at the Airport for Bali). He got along very well with Baby's parents(thank goodness), but the real worry now was, would the rest of my family members get along well with Baby's family? Once again, please don't think of this as me and my boyfriend getting married, consider it 2 families getting to know each other and becoming friends. :) . So once we reached Baby's place, my family and I were greeted by Baby's entire family at the door. They were all dressed so nicely I must say. :) We were then led to the dining area to feast on Mak Cik and Pak Cik's cooking! As usual, the food was delicious! :) My older brother, Omar, kept raving on and on about the Black Pepper Crab that Pak cik cooked. Everyone managed to get along, thankfully! :) Baby was so cute, he was serving my family and I drinks and he even served us the rice. He was our personal waiter for the day(HAHA). Thanks ah baby! (: . Anyway all in all, It was a pretty good first meetup luh (i hope!). My younger brother, Shahadan was really sporting, he started doing the Michael Jackson Moonwalk(which he does reealllyy well) in front of everybody! It was so funny, yet even I was pretty impressed that my brother, who is always so shy, actually did something so daring like that. I'm always one who talks a lot, but I also get shy pretty easily. In fact, I get really shy in front of a crowd. Huge or small, I always get nervous. Guess it's just my nerves... something I've never really managed to overcome fully despite being in Speech & Drama. . In the living room, everyone was busy talking to one another, my mum to baby's mother, my dad to baby's father. And myself? Well anybody who talked to me. I was pretty much observing and smiling nervously constantly at Baby. Hahah. All of us then looked at Baby's pictures when he was a kid, he was sooo adorable! :) I should totally show you guys how I looked like as a kid, you will think it isn't me at first glance because I look really different. In fact, when I show my friends pictures of myself when I was a Secondary 1, 2 or 3 student, they always think I look different. I guess a few years really does make a huge difference sometimes. You really do grow a lot in a few years. :) After dinner and chilling at Baby's place, my family left for home as it was getting pretty late, along with Baby and Myself, but we headed to E-Hub insteadfor some good ol bowling to end the night. :) I'm so glad things went well! :) . Pictures below!!
