SUNFLOWER .
Nothing brightens up my day like the fresh scent of flowers and morning dew. I love mornings, really. Though I hate getting up soo early in the morning(for school, pshh) , nothing quite beats the smell of an early morning don't you think? The sound of birds chirping, the sound of the rain, the fresh smell of a bed of roses, the morning sun, the stars, everything about nature. I love it. It's these simple things in life that make me so happy sometimes. Sometimes I wish I lived in the country side you know. I wish things were simpler I guess. Imagine if cars were horse carriages, if houses were small huts, if water came from a well instead of a tap, if telegrams were used to convey messages from point to another. . Life would be so simple wouldn't it? (Yet difficult I must add) Maybe then, we'd all learn to appreciate what we have today. The internet, handphones, even a flush for our toiletbowls. Hahah, I remember my dad telling me once that in the past, when people lived in 'Kampungs', they'd do their business in a bucket, and every morning, a man whom my dad and his friends used to call the 'Tong Taik Man' (HAHAHA) goes around collecting these buckets and replaces it with a new bucket every morning. Imagine how unhygienic that must have been. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, I miss how things used to be so simple. If only we all had a chance even if just for a moment to go back to how it was 40 years ago or so to experience how living in a Kampung would be like. HAHA, i remember when I was young, I used to climb trees and catch guppies with my brothers and neighbours in a big drain called a Longkang. It was so fun back then! :) I miss those times! Ah oh well, anyway, I'm so glad that my boyfriend always knows how to make my day, really. I'm so grateful he came into my life. Only he knows me best, he knows me inside out, even better than I know myself. . He surprised me yesterday with a bouquet! :D This time, it was a beautiful Yellow Sunflower. :D I was so happy when I saw him, and even happier when I saw he was hiding outside my gate holding a SUNFLOWER bouquet in his hands. He caught me by surprise once again, just like how he caught me by surprise the very first time he asked me to be his. :) . My boyfriend really is... FULL of surprises. :) Thanks so much Baby. You really do know how to make me smile all the time! .
