Hey guys! For those of you who don't have Twitter or didn't followme on Twitter, you probably wouldn't know that, I GOT INTO THE GRAND FINALS FOR CHIC GIRL MAGAZINE! :D So, I just wanna thank everybody who helped me out by voting for me(liking the picture). Although the round wasn't based solely on votes, what you guys thought definitely did play a part in me qualifying for the next round! :) So yup, I'm in the Top 27! :) The Grand Finals will be held on the17th of July, next Saturday at Supperclub! So if you are there, do support me! :D
So anyway, yesterday, all the grand finalists were to head over to the Chic Magazine Headquarters for a grooming session by Phantom Models Management(like woah?). I met up with Melissa early in the morning and my dad drove us there! :)
When we reached, I saw so many pretty girls there,so yes I did feel a little bit intimidated, but y'know I should at least be proud of myself that I've come this far,so even if I don't win, I'm glad that I was given the experience and opportunity of a lifetime. One that does not come by everyday. :)
So after about 30 minutes, the session commenced. The moment I saw this this super tall, gorgeous model walk towards us from the lift, my jaw hung open and I was in awe of her beauty! She's so tall, slim, and her legs. ohh boy, they were as long as a stallion's. She's like 1.8m! :D I also gotta thank our grooming Coach, Mimi for helping us learn a few tips on Catwalking. Because, that's what all of us are required to do next! And boy am I nervous.
During the grooming session, I was always the 2nd to go up, right after Melissa(based on the order of our names on the attendance list). It was really so embarrassing and nerve-wrecking having so many eyes watch you! After a couple of tries, I did get the hang of it luh, cos y'know at the end of the day, everyone's there to learn. :) Although I have to admit, I tripped on my heel on my first try :( I didn't fall, thank goooodness! phew.
I'm just so thankful that I'm in this competition with my bestfriend! :D
THE GROOMING SESSION -Mastering the Catwalk.
Mimi: Chin parallel to the ground, swing from your arms not elbow. Walk with your hips. Butt slightly tucked in etcetc..
I never knew there was soooo much to know about the Catwalk. :/
And my oh my, the world is indeed small. Guess who this is? IT'S SUZANA SALLEH, a makeup artiste who helped me with my makeup during a photoshoot once. hahaha, small world ...
This girl , Quraisha ,is wayyyy gorgeous. Her complexion is to die for. You guys think I've nice skin? Wait till you see hers! hahaha, it's as smooth as baby's bottom. HAHA.
The model! Just look at her la, so damn gorgeous!
WOOHOO, the Grand Finalists(some). :D
They even own a rabbit in the office. So cute isn't it? :D awwww.... reminds me of my pet rabbit, Fluffy!
