Vimeo is the way to go! ......................................................... Okay it's official! Vimeo.com is officially so much better when it comes to uploading videos! The last time I uploaded my video on Youtube(the same video below), the quality was so terrible it didn't even give the effect of a HD video. But uploading in Vimeo is wayyyy better! I'm loving the crispness of the video. :) Don't worry, although it looks small, you can always make it full screen, by clicking the button with the like 4 arrows on the video(on the 'play' bar)
See the difference? Compare the one above to the one below(uploaded to Youtube - quality sucks)
I'm sure there's a way to upload clear and sharp videos to Youtube but I've nooo idea how. So I guess..... for now, Vimeo's my new bestfriend. :)

Featured Artist: Urban M3lody ......................................................................
So I still remember Generation NYP so clearly in my head. Those were seriously some of the best times of my life. I made so many friends, some I may have grown apart now since the competition is over, and some I know I'll always keep with me even through the years. One of the contestants that I met was Fareez! He was one of my closer friends in the competition. We both liked singing a lot, and man, he sings reallllyyyyy well. I'm always so envious of all the vibratos blahblah that he's able to do. So he formed this band called "Urban M3lody" together with his other friends who can sing really well too! I think they deserve to get sooo much more attention lah because they're just really good. I mean, all of us are always supporting foreign talents, I think it's about time, we started support local artistes in Singapore! What do you say?
My buddy and I! :D See the stickers pasted on our clothing? Hahaha, our contestant number! I was F7. Female Contestant 7! Oh gee, this was all last year but I miss it so much! I really really do! The competition was mind bubbling but it was a helllll lot of fun!

Hey guys so if some of you are unaware, I've updated my beauty entry already. SOFIA DENDROFF THESECOND! ...........................................................................
Hi guys, so I figured it was about time I created a 2nd facebook accountbecause of the overwhelming amount of friend requests that I'm unable to accept on my first account. I feel really bad about it, because I think each time I don't accept one, the person would probably think I'm some arrogant snotty little girl. But really, it's because my account was just getting too full and I was saving the little space I had for people I actually knew.
So, to those of you who read my blog, added me on my first account and did not get accepted, well, you can always feel free to add me on my second account! :D I'll post the same pictures that I post on both accounts starting from today onwards, that is! So,yeah,they're all about the same!
So first of all, I just wanna start off this entry by wishing all fathers(if say you're a father and a reader of my blog, haha, a VERY HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!)
I also wanna wish my Dad in particular for being the best dad in the whole world. I know I know... everyone would say their own dad is the best, but I just wanted to say it anyway, cos I honestly mean it. Sure there may be times my dad and i have our little arguments here and there, but to me, I think he's the coolest dad ever. To put it simply, he's really lenient with me.
We like to make lame jokes(except my dad's jokes are actually funny, mine are just real stupid. haha). Whenever we're in the car, we'd make up a song and just sing anyhow. I still remember how my dad used to make his own rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" - The National Anthem of the United States.
It went a little like this. (sing it in the tune of the "Star Spangled Banner")
"Ohhh the red, white and blueeee, and the birdyy and youuu Ohhh the birdyyy on the treee He was looking at mee."
and there was more, but i forgot. HAHA, SUPER LAME RIGHT. He sang this to my brothers and I when we were just kids, and ever since then, I've been singing this rendition(which makes no sense right? I know, that's my dad for you) hahah.
With my dad around, the house is always really lively. I especially love the fact that my dad is just as much a movie junkie as I am. WE LOVE HORROR MOVIES! Oh and sometimes people think I'm rude whenever I call my dad a 'fool' or an 'old man'. hahaha, to others it's rude lah, but to us it's pretty normal. For example, my dad's calling me uh..
"Sofiaaaaaaa! sofiaaaa" (he does this continiously just to annoy me-.-) And I'll answer , "Whadya want old man?" or "yes, fool?" HAHAH Sounds rude right, but we always laugh it off, or he'll try and say something worse to compete with that. I love my dad soo much la. Without him around, I don't know what I'd do.
So, here's to the best dad in the whole world:

So, yeah, it's Father's day today, and for some strange reason, my mum and dad were the only two who went out, leaving my brothers and I stranded at home. Gah.. so many days spent at home. I think I've had enough 'me' time for now. Hahah.
So out of sheer boredom, I whipped out my eyeshadow palette, my makeup brushes etc, and started painting my face(ok lah not literally). Here's how it looked like! Yet again, it was a success! wheee, but the webcam sorta washes the colour a little. It's not that nude, it's a little pinkish actually, for the eyeshadow.

Hi guys, it's 3.35am now. I know I know, you're probably wondering why I'm still up.. haha, well the past few hours I've been watching youtube makeup tutorials and practicing the look I had learnt on myself. Just recently, I got myself a Sephora Eyeshadow Palette you see. I bought it without knowing how on earth to use eyeshadow(haha i know right... wth?). So since I had nothing to do, I figured I'd just practice with the palette. I swear Youtube is beyond brilliant! If it wasn't for youtube, I think I'd still be clueless till now as to how to use eyeshadow. I kinda got the hang of it now. Yay! Practice makes perfect right? :)
So anyway, the pictures below show 2 looks that I did(I didn't follow the tutorial entirely, I kinda modified it a little hehe). So the first look is what I'd like to call: Smokey Eye!
Okay I know it looks a little gothic too. But heck, i think the makeup looked way better in real life though. I'm so glad I managed to master this! It was kinda tough, but of course, with sheer determination, I managed to succeed in doing this look! (Yay!)
CAMWHORE TIME.
So yeah, the 2nd look that I wanted to try out was a Barbie doll look. Sadly, I didn't have much pink clothing, blue contacts and a blonde wig to go with the makeup, but I'd still like to think I succeeded? In fact, I honestly really love this look.I think it's pretty wearable even if I wanted to head to... say.. town or for a romantic dinner for example?

There's still so many looks I wanna try. :D After these 2 successful attempts, I suddenly have the urge to be a makeup guru myself(okay there's so many things I wanna be.. what's wrong with me? haha). It's pretty satisfying really, putting makeup on. And when you finally look at your final creation in the mirror, you just feel a sense of satisfaction! :D Anyway, this post is meant to just be short. Just wanted to show you pictures of the 2 makeup looks I did. I'd apprciate comments. Do I pass? Hehe.

With no trust, there's no love .................................................................
Last Friday marked the start of the June holidays for all Polytechnics in Singapore. As a way to celebrate the start of a 2 week break(finally! we deserve a break after all the studying and projects), Falila, Shaheena and I headed to Marina Square to catch a movie. So, Hangover 2 it was! It was such a hilarious movie, I think I laughed really loudly in the cinema. Couldn't help it. If you guys have yet to catch the movie, I guarantee you loads of laughter throughout the show. I'm not really one who laughs easily during movies. Maybe it's cos I've really high expectations when it comes to comedies. Shows like "Vampires suck", "The Epic Movie".. those sorta lame movie parodies that are meant to be 'funny', those kind leave me sleeping in the cinema or probably going like "what the fuck?" throughout the movie. Hahah!
Anyway the day was really fun. Hanging with these 2 is always fun actually. They're the 2 sisters I never had. Sometimes I wish I had sisters :( Even one will do really. Having 2 brothers is alright I guess, but there are just some things that you'll both never be able to talk about. Say for example, talking about cute movie crushes, cute boys(of course, during singlehood lah, haha), talking about girly things(makeup etc). All you girls who do have sisters, you guys are so lucky, you just don't know it.
So anyway, the day followed on with loads of camwhoring. There were over 200 pictures taken with Shaheena's camera, but only a few I really liked! Hahah.

My holidays so far have been pretty average I guess. I'm not one of those girls who hangs out everyday with a different bunch of friends. Most of the time, I'm usually at home, either watching the tele, watching a movie, blogging, using the internet or reading. I like days when I get to sleep in, and days when I indulge in loads of 'me' time. I think it's always important to have a balance in life.
This goes out to all those who are in a relationship. There's gotta be a day or two in a week where you get to have some 'me' time at least. Days that you get to stay at home and do things that you wanna do. In my case, it's using the internet,watching a movie at home and being able to blog. Before my boyfriend went in the army, there were a lot of days when I'd usually be out. Sometimes I'm hardly ever home because I'm always out with him. And that's when things between us did get a little unpleasant too. When you spend too much time together, it can't always be good, because once in awhile, you're gonna need a break, and there'll be a time when being in a relationship may end up being something that's exhausting instead of pleasant.
If you're feeling like that now, take a deep breath, take a step back and talk to your other half. Talk about wanting a little space. The reason why my boyfriend and I are very strong till this day(despite our many arguments etc), is because although we love each other a lot, and although we wish we could spend 24 hours a day for 7 days a week together, we know that each of us will need a bit of a breather someday. Which is why, he still makes time for his friends(which I encourage because I know that friends are always important too and you should always make time for friends even if it's just once a week or once every 2 weeks). The problem with people in relationships is that sometimes they get too serious and they start neglecting everyone around them. You don't want a day to come when you realize you've nobody else in the world but your family and your boyfriend.
Your friends make you whole too, as a person. I appreciate the freedom that my boyfriend and I each have. Trust is very important in a relationship. Sure there'll be times when I tend to worry a little too much because I know how much his friends loveeee to party(if you're reading this, you know who you all are ah.. haha) And whenever I just want to stop him and say "No you can't go", I'll think about what it's like to be in his shoes and ask myself, if the same thing happened to me, and he said "No", would I be happy about it? But of course if he starts spending more time with his friends than he is with you, then well, that's a whole new other problem.
Being too controlling is never good as well. There must always be a balance in everything you do. At the end of the day, the fate of your relationship still lies in the hands of God. Just live everyday as it is, enjoy the moments you have together and live for the moment. If you're always too paranoid, too controlling, too sensitive etc, then trust me, a relationship like that, it will never last.
With no trust, there's no love. :)
For now, I'm just waiting and waiting for the day my boyfriend finally books our of Tekong after 2 weeks, and that'll be next Friday. I can't wait to be able to give him the longest hug I've ever given him. It's officially been about a week that I've not seen him and gosh, it's so hard, but I know that everyone girl/woman goes through this.
To all the girlfriends or wives who've been through this really tough stage, I salute you.
Really, I do. :)
Can't wait to see that botak boyfriend of mine. hehe Till the next entry.

Having 2 brothers is alright I guess, but there are just some things that you'll both never be able to talk about. Say for example, talking about cute movie crushes, cute boys(of course, during singlehood lah, haha), talking about girly things(makeup etc). All you girls who do have sisters, you guys are so lucky, you just don't know it.
So anyway, the day followed on with loads of camwhoring. There were over 200 pictures taken with Shaheena's camera, but only a few I really liked! Hahah.

My holidays so far have been pretty average I guess. I'm not one of those girls who hangs out everyday with a different bunch of friends. Most of the time, I'm usually at home, either watching the tele, watching a movie, blogging, using the internet or reading. I like days when I get to sleep in, and days when I indulge in loads of 'me' time. I think it's always important to have a balance in life.
This goes out to all those who are in a relationship. There's gotta be a day or two in a week where you get to have some 'me' time at least. Days that you get to stay at home and do things that you wanna do. In my case, it's using the internet,watching a movie at home and being able to blog. Before my boyfriend went in the army, there were a lot of days when I'd usually be out. Sometimes I'm hardly ever home because I'm always out with him. And that's when things between us did get a little unpleasant too. When you spend too much time together, it can't always be good, because once in awhile, you're gonna need a break, and there'll be a time when being in a relationship may end up being something that's exhausting instead of pleasant.
If you're feeling like that now, take a deep breath, take a step back and talk to your other half. Talk about wanting a little space. The reason why my boyfriend and I are very strong till this day(despite our many arguments etc), is because although we love each other a lot, and although we wish we could spend 24 hours a day for 7 days a week together, we know that each of us will need a bit of a breather someday. Which is why, he still makes time for his friends(which I encourage because I know that friends are always important too and you should always make time for friends even if it's just once a week or once every 2 weeks). The problem with people in relationships is that sometimes they get too serious and they start neglecting everyone around them. You don't want a day to come when you realize you've nobody else in the world but your family and your boyfriend.
Your friends make you whole too, as a person. I appreciate the freedom that my boyfriend and I each have. Trust is very important in a relationship. Sure there'll be times when I tend to worry a little too much because I know how much his friends loveeee to party(if you're reading this, you know who you all are ah.. haha) And whenever I just want to stop him and say "No you can't go", I'll think about what it's like to be in his shoes and ask myself, if the same thing happened to me, and he said "No", would I be happy about it? But of course if he starts spending more time with his friends than he is with you, then well, that's a whole new other problem.
Being too controlling is never good as well. There must always be a balance in everything you do. At the end of the day, the fate of your relationship still lies in the hands of God. Just live everyday as it is, enjoy the moments you have together and live for the moment. If you're always too paranoid, too controlling, too sensitive etc, then trust me, a relationship like that, it will never last.
With no trust, there's no love. :)
For now, I'm just waiting and waiting for the day my boyfriend finally books our of Tekong after 2 weeks, and that'll be next Friday. I can't wait to be able to give him the longest hug I've ever given him. It's officially been about a week that I've not seen him and gosh, it's so hard, but I know that everyone girl/woman goes through this.
To all the girlfriends or wives who've been through this really tough stage, I salute you.
