"Master of my fate, Captain of My Soul" ..........................................................................
Hey guys! So today's blogpost is going to be really random. No particular topic or event that I'm blogging about. Basically it's sorta like an update of what's been going on in my life and instagram pictures in case some of you don't actually follow me on Instagram.
So I know some of you have requested that I bring "Ask Aunty Sofia" back to life and I guess I will! Recently, I've been receiving a ton of questions about relationships. I'm definitely no relationship expert because I too have had my share of failed relationships and such. But if possible, I will definitely do my very best to help you guys out. So feel free to write in to me your question. If I feel like I have a lot to say in particular, I'll answer it in the Aunty Sofia blog section! Also, I know I have neglected the 'Beauty' section of my blog. But don't worry, I'll be doing a blog entry for that soon! If you've any suggestions on what you'd like me to share in the Beauty section, do let me know as well.
I'll also be hosting another Blog giveaway soon! :) So stay tuned! Updates will be posted on Twitter as usual. So do follow me if you haven't! (@sofiadendroff) There's actually so much I'd like to do but time is always sucha limiting factor.
So now.... speaking of life. Life's been alright so far I guess. Just like everyone else, I too have my share of ups and downs in life. Sometimes, days don't go as well as you want it to.. but at the end of the day, despite all the sadness and anger, you just always have to tell yourself that a brand new day awaits.
We all have problems. That's just the way it is. The difference between happy successful people and unhappy depressed people is that the successful look for answers. Successful people look forward to challenges. They know that every time they solve a problem they get smarter. By taking these challenges head on they are strengthening their minds and of course they will be better equipped to handle the next set of challenges in future.
I believe that every individual controls their emotions. Ever heard of the quote "I am the the Master of my Fate. I am the Captain of my Soul"? No matter what life may bring you, whether it's something unfortunate... say for example... you lost your job... money issues etc. Always stay positive because positivity brings you a step closer towards being able to solve the problem and a step closer towards getting over it. Having a positive mindset is the first step towards crossing any hurdle in life. Think about it.. what can negativity bring you in life? WHERE can it bring you? Nowhere. All it does is just bring a whole load of unwanted stress.
As for me, I can either choose to be stressed or I can choose to be positive and work towards being happy. I'd like to say that I am pretty proud of myself. The fact that I've grown and improved so much in terms of character over the years. If you read my blog in the past, you'd probably realize that I was indeed a really angsty person. If someone hated on me etc, I'd lash out at this anonymous person without realizing that the only one who ended looking bad.. was me. The only one who'd end up feeling unhappy was me. My dad always tells me, "Girl, you control your emotions. Nobody can make you feel anything you don't want to feel".
Whenever I'm down, I usually talk to my dad because he's the wise man of the house. Like I said, everyone has their set of problems. My dad is definitely someone I look up to because no matter what challenges life may bring, no matter how bad... he always has a positive mindset.
So I guess what I want to say is... despite whatever challenges you may face on a daily basis, always know that everyday should be a positive and fresh start. Don't drag yesterday's problems into a brand new day. Give yourself and everyone around you a break and a fresh start. Whether you know it or not, you have an effect on everyone you meet. Stay positive and be happy. My motto in life. :)
As for school, I'll be going back to school in September! Like finally! I think I've bummed around and stayed home for far too long. I need to go out and start doing something with my life. Hahah. Definitely can't wait for school. And the 31st of August is coming... gah...do you know what day that is? It's the day I get my BRACES done again(contemplating just doing both top and bottom instead of just the top.. for fear it looks weird), and it's the day I'll be taking my Basic Theory Test for driving! Can't wait. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my license by this year so that I'll be able to use my dad's car. Hehe. I'll just stay positive and pray.
So anyways, enough rambling... on with the pictures! :) Be prepared for lots of camwhore shots. :P
This is probably super belated but anywayyyy, ROXY Singapore was really nice to have sponsored me Roxy/Quiksilver merchandise. So basically I headed down to the store and just picked out what I wanted. Hehe Thank you ROXY/QUIKSILVER! :)

I've never really been a cap person but lately I've this addiction with caps. I just love it! It adds funkiness to any outfit. Hahah.

Finally finished the first book from the Fifty Shades trilogy! I'm now on the second book! And Ana is so damn annoying in the book la omg. Hahaha
Another one of my bestfriends :))
Met up with her and Wawa recently to have dinner at Breeks! :)
Another new book! Dad bought this for me! I'm already done with it. Gonna buy more books written by John Gray. His books are really insightful. I'd recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Both guys and girls. :)
