Kotex Print Ad - Photoshoot + Falila's B'day .................................................................................
I know what you guys must be thinking. WHAT?! KOTEX?! SERIOUSLY?! you're probably already imagining all sorts of things I'd have to do for the shoot. I know, cos when I told my friends, most of them asked if I had to show off my ass and things like that. To clear that up, NO I don't. To be frankly honest, I've nooo idea what's the shoot for, but I do know it's for Print Advertisements, which could include magazines, newspapers, bus stop adverts and the list goes on. I don't even know where these photos will be published but I do knowthat the work I had to do that day was REALLY EASY, and I bet you guys would kill to be in my shoes!! HAAHHA!
To put it differently, I was paid to do the 'V' Sign. Some would call it the 'Peace' or the 'Tweeees(no idea why's it called Tweeees) sign'. Hahha, yup! So the whole photoshoot was really quick and easy! I just had to show a variation of poses of me using that 'V' sign! Simple right? :) I'm living every Ah-lian's dream. And yes, I did feel totally camwhore-ish and ahlian-ish that day. HAHAH.
One of the models. :) Pretty isn't she?
And guess who I bumped into again!!!
CLARE!! :D I was sooo happy when I saw her because it's been such a long time since the last time she and I met! The last time we did, it was when I had to return her shirt I borrowed, but that was only for like... 1 or 2 minutes? hahah! The first time I met Clare, it was during the Yacht shoot! :) We worked together during a photoshoot. Pretty cool. Check out the Behind the Scenes for the Yacht shoot HERE !!
Ok eyes look so plain here, should have worn eyeliner!
PEACEEE!!! :D
I brought a wholeee load of stuff for the wardrobe. In the end, what I wore wasn't even something I brought. :(
So yeah that's pretty much my outfit. Kinda Korean-ish in a way, don't you think? Especially with the hat and all!
So my shoot was taken outdoors instead of the studio. :) The whole process was pretty quick because they managed to get the shots they wanted! Wheee, it always feels good whenever a photographer is happy with the photos. It makes me feel good as a model. :)
So yeah, you can somewhat already imagine how the pictures will turn out! It's gonna be like a collage of about 30 girls doing the Peace sign, if I'm correct! :)
So right after the shoot, I rushed home to lighten the load I was carrying, changed out and headed down to Little India to meet Shaheena! It was Falia's birthday so Shah and I decided to surprise her with a cake! She obviously didn't know we were gonna be seated down with a lit up birthday cake as she walked into the restaurant with her mum and brother. hehe, genius! :D
So, the restaurant we ate at was Delhi Restaurant. A really nice place to dine at in Little India. The place is clean, the decorations are lovely, the food is beyond superb. I was very satisfied with everything that day!:) Definitely worth a visit!
Shaheena :)
Polar Cake! :)
I thought the umbrellas on the ceiling were a brilliant idea! It really made the place look really unique! :)
Loved the table setting! :)
The service there was good too, and it was really quick and efficient. The moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with smiles, and the moment we sat down, we were served Papadam for Starters! :D We didn't even have to wait!
#TIP: A good way to eat papadam is to take the papadam, generously dip it in the Chutney sauce as shown above, and top it off with generous amounts of onion! IT'S REALLY NICE! I learnt it from Shaheena! :D
Super yummy Peanut cake from Polar! Didn't expect it to taste THAT good! I doubt it's cos I was hungry, it really was THAT good! :) Alas, something different instead of the usual Choco Fudge Cake!
So when Falila came in with her mum and brother, she was grinning really widely, and looked happily surprised! :D I'm so glad Shah and I went down to meet her on her birthday! I like making people happy, and I'm glad Falila was! ^^
Falila making a wish! :)
Right after, the really kind staff over at Delhi Restaurant played the Birthday song on the TV! :D
FEEDING TIME! :D Falila went around feeding everybody at the table with the cake that she cut! :)
That's her mum btw! ^^
Falila feeding her brother! :)
See, she fed everyone so gently except for me. She shoved the cake in my mouth, and that is why my friends, the picture is blur. HAHAHAH
Pretty pretty birthday girl! :D Friends since Poly Year 1! Falilaaaa, if you're reading this, I want you to know I'm soooo happy we're still close friends up till now! LOVE YOU BABE! :D
So, right after the cake, FOOD FINALLY CAME!! YAYY!!
Okay this was really yummy! A hotplate filled with lots of meat. Tender, juicy chicken pieces, mutton, salted eggs, capsicums and whatnot! ABSOLUTELY DELISH.
And of course, in every Indian restaurant, there's always CURRY! :D This was Butter Chicken curry. really really really good. In fact, everything was so good. No joke! BUT THIS IS A MUST TRY! I SWEAR!
Prawn Curry! :)
We also had Plain Nan(how do you spell that?) and this Nan up above! Really unique, I've never tasted Nan that tasted like fruit cake! Was really sweet, but in a good way! :)
Falila labelled us "The Papadam Girls". We just couldn't have enough of the Papadam, despite eating so many! hahaha
Like mother , like daughter! They look so alike!
So after a really good dinner accompanied with loads of laughter, we called it a night because all of us had work the next morning! Was definitely a good catch up!
So yes, to Falila, Happy Birthday again once again pretty girl! :) Like I said earlier on, I'm so glad we've only grown closer, not apart since Year 1! You're definitely a friend I never wanna lose. Both you and Shaheena! I love you both so much and I can't wait to see you girls soooon!
Happy Birthday again, and I hope you had a good one! :D
