UPDATE ......................................
So honestly, I really am amazed at how quickly time flies (and I probably say this a thousand over times... but seriously la.. don'tyou guys find it scary?). I mean, I can't believe it's already Friday again! Next week marks the last week of internship, which sums up to a total of 10 weeks of lil me being thrown into the working world. I do admit that I miss school. In fact, I miss school a whole lot. I miss my friends(well.. ok not really to be honest, maybe just a small bunch. HAHA, am I evil in that sense? hehe), but if there's one thing I really do miss alot, it's the school food! You have noooo idea how sick I am of the food that's sold in the company's canteen. It's not that it isn't nice, it's just having to eat from that same particular Muslim stall every single day has made me kinda sick of the food already. They've only 3 stalls by the way. The Chinese Food Stall, The Muslim Food Stall and the Drinks/Juices Stall(favourite stall, hehe).
Anyway I'm not going to be complaining about anything, lest I get in trouble. So working as an intern has been a pretty tiring 9 weeks so far. I hate having to go to work at 8am everyday, but I really thank God for the friends I've made over there. They're the ones who've kept me pretty sane for the past 6 weeks(since the other interns came in on my 3rd week of work) -Karthik, Ariff,Junhao,Anusha,JR,Sook Yee,Rin Chen and Kian Hong. I'll miss you bunch!
So anyway about a few weeks ago, some of us headed out for dinner right after work. It was Ariff's idea to dine in "Lerk Thai". I don't know why but the 'L' on the shop's display signboard really confuses me. The first time I saw it, I thought it was called "Jerk Thai". I'm pretty sure I ain't the only one too. Hahah!
Pineapple rice! :)
Ariff and Jian Rong(JR, for short).
Karthik!
Phad Thai. :) Yummy!
So everyone had nice food, and this was what I had. Some Beef Spaghetti dish. It looks yummy right?
To be totally honest, it wasn't really that great. =x Don't try it. (shh.... hope nobody here works in Lerk Thai, ahahah).

So a little update on my life and hopefully, what's to come in a few months. Hopefully if all goes well, come September, I'll be flying off to Mosbach in Germany to study as a foreign exchange student for 4 months! The interview's in late April and I really really realllyyyyy want to go.You've nooo idea how psyched I am for this trip, and I really hope my parents will support me wholeheartedly. Mosbach is the town situated just between Heidelberg and Heilbronn. It is one of the attractive spots along the Neckar River Valley with its romantic castles.
From what I heard from a previous friend of mine who did his Overseas attachment there, Mosbach is a really peaceful and beautiful place. Not as busy as the city life with a small population occupying the town. If I do go, it'd definitely be just what I need. And the fact that the trip will be taking place in September means that IF i do manage to go, I'd be spending Hari Raya, Christmas and even my birthday in a foreign land! OH AND IT'D PROBABLY BE SNOWING THERE TOO! Yay, my first time experiencing real snow(besides Snow city. heh).
Here are some pictures of the beautiful town(pictures I found through Google)!
It's like I've seen this place somewhere in the movies. o.o
One of the castles over there!
If I'm correct, this is probably during the Christmas season.
WINTER IN MOSBACH!! :D
Alot of my friends must be wondering why'd I choose Germany(Mosbach) over France (Nice or Paris). The main reason is because I really want a change in environment. I know that if I were to go to Nice or Paris, it'd honestly be no different from Singapore. Sure it'd look much better, but what I really would like for a change is some peace and quiet. Somewhat like getting away from the city for abit and going to the countryside. That sorta feel. If I were to ever go to France, it'd be for a holiday. Definitely not for a 4 month stay! Not forgetting the fact that it's definitely way more expensive in France(Nice/Paris) than it probably is in Mosbach.
Sigh for now, as much as I really really want this to happen. The interview has yet to come, and nothing's confirmed yet. Pray for me, will you? :( I really hope the interview goes well, and that my parents will fully support me in going overseas for 4 months.
........................
Anyway that aside, although I'm blogging on the 15th of April(because it's 1.06am as I'm typing right now), when I should have blogged about this yesterday, I still want to dedicate the bottom part of this blog entry to someone who is still very dear and special to me.
Shafiq Roslan. You're finally 20.Like I mentioned in my earlier birthday message to you. Time flies. We met when we were just 18. I can't believe that you're already 20. I'm sorry I wasn't outside your doorstep with a birthday cake at 12 midnight. Most of all, I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you or let you down. You'll always be someone really dear and special to me, and I really am so grateful to have met your beautiful family and of course, you. I'm still happy that my parents and your parents still keep in touch. Hahah, especially my mum and your mum. I think the two of them can be bestfriends already ah. Forever on the phone. Hi Makcik if you're reading this! Pakcik also! hahah! :) I miss both your cooking by the way. hehe.
So anyway, just wanna wish you a very very veryyyy HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
I'm so proud of you by the way, for what you have achieved so far. Congratulations upon receiving the Lee Kuan Yew award(so smart ah this boy. you see, i'm always the dumbdumb)! :)
No matter what life brings us, even if we're not destined to be together in this life, always know that you'll always have a friend in me, and you're somebody I never want to lose in my life.
