New Year Countdown!! ...........................................................
I know I know.... what?! New year countdown?! But it's only FEBRUARY! Well... I meant.. New Year countdown of... LAST year. Hahaha, super belated entry but hey better late than never right?
So on the 25th of December last year (Christmas), I went to my Grandma's house for Christmas lunch and of course... presents. hehe, one of my gifts from my Uncle was....
3 TICKETS TO THE NEW YEAR COUNTDOWN PARTY AT MARINA BAY SAND'S SKYPARK! THANK YOU UNCLE TERRY! :D
When I opened it, I was literally smiling from east to west because it was nice to receive such gifts you know. I love events! I always have and to get tickets to such an event like this was really exciting! Especially since I have never been to the Skypark before. :(
So since I had 3 tickets in total, I decided to call my girlfriends along!! And so Namira and Aini it was! :D The day of the event was the first time I was going to meet Aini and who knew what a nice person she really was? If anything, I've absolutely no regrets asking her along because the 3 of us had so much fun(minus the torturous long long long walk to Clarke Quay after.... hahah, and also minus some.... 'weird encounters). Read the rest of the entry to find out more!

And because it was New Year's eve, the road was jammed as hell.... took us about an hour or so to get there?
Was sitting in the car chatting with the girls when all of a sudden we looked to our left and saw this.....
The lights from the MBS SKYPARK! It was so so sooooo beautiful! That kinda pumped us all up and got us in a super hyper and happy mood throughout! :D
And we finally reached!!
But before that......
Makeup touch-ups! Hahah, we wanted to look picture perfect! :D
Right after, it was straight to the SKYPARK! I think I probably felt like I was 5 because I was super excited! Everyone's been telling me just how magnificent the view was from up there and I just couldn't wait to see it from myself.
And boy oh boy... they sure weren't kidding! It was kinda crowded up there but that was when we realized we were in the wrong place. The party wasn't where the Infinity pool was(where everyone who stayed in the hotel had entry to), the party was somewhere else - a more private area for ticket holders only.
So we stayed around for a bit to enjoy the view and take some pictures before making our way to the place! :)
So after walking from one end all the way to the other etcetc, we finally reached the place! Outside, we were greeted by door-lady who checked our tickets, gave us a wristband and then gave us PARTY FAVOURS! :D
Even before we entered through the entrance, we could hear loud music and people laughing and talking! Aside from that, there was even an Emcee for this private event! And the best part? THERE WEREN'T THAT MANY PEOPLE! There was more than enough room to walk, dance, camwhore or do whatever it is we wanted.
And just as Namira, Aini and I had discussed earlier, we kinda predicted that the party would be filled with Caucusaisn, businessmen etc... basically middle aged people. But hey, that still wasn't gonna stop us from the party! :)
And so... the camwhoring begins!
Okay think I leaned my cheek in too much to Aini's face. Now I have hamster cheeks. hahaha.
Oh and at the party we sorta met this Caucasian guy who was 'Greek', who pretty much kept stalking us everywhere we went. It was really annoying actually and the 3 of us were trying all ways to get rid of him but I guess we were just too nice to directly tell him 'excuse me, but can you leave us the F ALONE?!'. hahaha, and so we just 'tried' to entertain him. :P he came to the party alone. like.. who the hell does that? lol.
Meet Christos. Wow, I still remember his name. lol
And so then after, everyone gathered to the edge of the building and all of a sudden everyone was screaming '3, 2, 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!'. I wanted to take pictures of the fireworks but I realized my camera didn't do it much justice and so I video-recorded it for you guys!
We were soooo close to the fireworks! It looked so near such that if I were to just reach my hand out, I could literally touch it!'. It was the best firework display I've ever seen in my life. I've always seen fireworks from really far away, but this time, for the first time, I was soo close to it, literally up in the sky, RIGHT BESIDE IT!'. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?
As the fireworks were going on, 'Auld Lang Syne' was suddenly played and everyone started singing. It was kinda like a happy and sad moment. Happy because I lived to see another year. Sad because as each year passes, the hour glass is slowly filling its way up... But hey, I'm still happy anyway! :) I'm sure 2012 will be a great year not just for me, but for everyone else!

After the countdown, Aini, Namira and I just danced on the dance floor! :D It already felt like we were in a club to be honest, just that, the dancefloor had so much room! hahah
Uh hi... lol
Took pictures of the city from high up above! I don't think I've ever felt so proud to be living in Singapore before. The view was nothing like I'ved ever seen. Everything sure is different when you're tens of storeys from the ground!
So pretty!! Singapore really is a beautiful city. :) hehe, it's no wonder 'B.o.B' even shot an Music Video 'High Life' on the MBS Skypark!!! Hahah! WOOHOO, LION CITY PRIDE!
The party ended at 2am! And right after, the girls and I walked painfully from MBS to Clarke Quay, or at least we tried to. There were no taxis around because the entire road was blocked off because of the celebration, Eventually we managed to get a taxi and the night continued from there at Clarke Quay, where we met up with Ramzan too! :) Didn't club but pretty much just sat down and chilled! :) and guess what? CHRISTOS FOLLOWED US. LOL. NAMIRA, AINI AND I WERE SOO PISSED BUT WHAT COULD WE DO RIGHT?!
But hey overall, it was still a good night! :) Heh, till the next blog entry.
