A TRIP TO THE ZOO ...............................................................
Howdy ho my lovely blog readers!
So yes, I know that I have not been blogging diligently as of late. BUT, I HAVE MY REASONS OKAY! If you follow me on Twitter, you probably would have seen my many incessant complains about my stupidass laptop that just won't seem to serve it's purpose and just function the way it should. There are just so many days where I want to blog, but things just don't seem to go my way. For one, picture uploading. Some time last week, I wanted to do up this very same entry that you are about to read right now, but for some reason, everytime I was halfway through 'clicking' the pictures that I wanted to upload, something screws up and I had to start all over again. Imagine my frustration!! Haha and on some other days, my laptop won't even turn on. :( Honestly, it's about time I get a new laptop... but till then, please bear with me! I'm trying my best! :D
Anyway some updates aye! So, I'll be at Vivocity this coming Sunday, 8th July because I will be representing Tocco Tenero as one of their brand ambassadors and I will be required to talk about the brand, the bag I chose for the month of July etc for about a good 15 minutes? I am incredibly nervous!!! So apparently, I'll be prompted questions by the emcee of the event and yeah lah, I'd probably have to answer in front of hundreds or maybe even thousands. Who knows aye? It's freaking Vivocity! You should know for yourself how insanely huge that mall is. As for timeslot, I'm not too sure yet! But if you're keen on knowing, I'll be tweeting the exact details! :) Or I might just update you guys on my blog again once I know the timing! Yup:)
So if you happen to see me in Vivocity, don't hesitate to say Hi alright? :D And now.... on with the rest of the blog entry! Just so you know, this post is extremely late. Hahah, it's of my visit to the ZOO with my friends... this kinda took place more than a month ago! hehe. so yeah, have fun reading! :)
Hahah, extremely close up shot of my face before I left in the morning. I was feeling tom-boyish I don't know... and thus my cap! My fashion sense is honestly really weird. Like, I have no particular style. I dress however I want and wear whatever that kinda fits my mood for the day. Some days I'd look totally girly, and some days I'd be the complete opposite. Hahaha.
So...recently got a couple of DC caps and so... decided to just wear em out! :) what do you think?

So my friends and I randomly decided to go to the zoo. Well okay fine, it was pretty much entirely my idea because I just loveeee the zoo soo much you see! I'm a huge animal lover and ever since I was a kid, I've ALWAYS loved going to the zoo. :) We went there to celebrate Shaheena's birthday :D hehe

After getting our tickets, we planned the route! :D

So after planning the route and such, it was time to head into the zoo! :D I was sooo very excited, but I did not prepare myself for the humid weather. :( How I wish Singapore was cooler. I don't ask for snow, I just ask for bearable weather. Bleh.
Saw this super cute animal. No idea what's it called but it kinda reminds me of Akhbar. HAHAHAH
Akhbar with his orgasmic face. I don't know what's with him and this face la. Hahaha
Because of how terribly hot it was, I ended up paying like 5 bucks or was it 7.90 for this Mango slushie! Loved the uh cup that it came in. So cutee.
I'm so glad I went with these bunch because all of us were pretty enthusiastic about the zoo. To have fun, it's not so much about the place you go to, but rather, the people you go with. You can go to the most exciting place in the world, but if you go with a bunch of sour grapes or boring people, then well.... the experience won't be as fun. So yeah, I'm really glad to have these bunch of amazing people in my life. :)

After that, we walked around somemore to look at more animals! :)
The white tiger! Such a majestic animal. :) so beautiful! You know sometimes I always wonder to myself, "Are the animals in the zoo depressed? Are they lonely? Do they get sad like we do? Cry like we do?". I mean.... no matter how much the zoos all over the world claim to be saving the animal instead, I just feel like they're only caging them up. Cheetahs for example, they're born to roam free, to run wild.... but can they really do that in the zoo? I don't think so. I mean... I love seeing all the animals in the zoo being taken care of... but sometimes, I just can't help but feel a little sad at the same time.
I was talking about this very same topic to Falila and Shaheena and they too, felt the same way as I did. Oh well... :( at least they're safe in the zoo!
So for pretty much the entire day, I've been telling everyone that I wanted to ride the elephant! Because sadly... the last time I went to the zoo... the ride was closed because of the rain. Thankfully the weather was good when we went there because most of the time whenever I go to the zoo, it always rains. Super unlucky but thankfully*praises God*, it did NOT rain! Yayyy :D and so I took the animal ride. The boys weren't interested in paying $8 to ride the elephant(pffft....) and Falila was afraid to ride it. And so... the only brave and sporting companion?

If you guys head to the zoo, please do ride on the elephant. It's a really interesting experience. HAHAH
After that, we headed to KIDZZZ WORLDDDD. :)
As a kid, I remember always wanting to go to the zoo soooo much because I absolutely loved feeding the goats. Kidz world didn't always look like this. Back then, it looked more 'jungle-like' or wild you could say. Plenty of trees everwhere, grass patches and stuff...many kids always flocked around the goats especially because all the kids would be searching high and low for leaves just so they could feed the goats. Well.... I was one of those kids. Haha. It's so upsetting to know that noone does that anymore.:( Went to the zoo and no one was feeding the goats and finding leaves were sooooo difficult. I had to look all over before I managed to find a couple. Moreover, do you know that you have to pay $5 now to feed the darn goats? What in the world.... but gah...I didn't care really,so I just sneakily fed the goats a few leaves. hehe
Sigh...so many childhood memories. :') oh how I've grown huh....
After that, we headed to the kampung located inside Kidz World.
Girls will be girls...
Falila caught red-handed taking a camwhore shot! Hahah
So after much walking, talking, laughing, it was time to have our lunch!
And so...KFC it was. :D
After lunch, we resumed the day with more animal-seeing and went on to catch The Elephant show and Splash Safari later on in the day.
Elephants in Asia! :D The elephants are soooo smart la I swear. I LOVE ELEPHANTS!!! Probably one of my favourite animals. ^^

THE SPLASH SAFARI SHOW. If you're at the Zoo or if you're going to the Zoo, this is definitely a show you DO NOT want to miss! Super entertaining. The sea lion is just soo freaking cute as well.
Will ya look at that? Amazing.
The kids all gathered round just so they could be splashed by the sea lion and get wet. Hahaha sweeet.
After the Splash Safari show at 5pm, it was time to leave the zoo! :)
All of us took the bus and headed to AMK Hub to have our dinner! :)
Went to Fish n Co to have a proper birthday dinner together with the birthday girl, Shaheena! :)
Had my usual New York Fish and Chips. The bestttt fish and chips ever! There's even cheese inside!
After which, the Fish n Co staff all gathered round to sing the birthday girl a happy birthday song! Hahah, I love how they made her stand on the chair!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAHEENA! :D
I hope you enjoyed the little birthday cake surprise! Bet you didn't expect to be standing on the chair and all right? Hahaha

We had a very intense and intriguing conversation over dinner.
All in all,it was an incredibly fun day! :D And I'm glad that Shaheena enjoyed herself too. I miss these bunch so much already. :(
