10 Things About Me! ....................................................
Hey guys! So I thought I'd just share with you 10 things about me that you may or may not already know about. Got tagged by a friend of mine Amanda a couple of months back and I'm finally deciding to do it today! Hahah. super random blog entry but here are 10 Things About Me that you probably never knew of!
1. I used to have bugs bunny teeth!
Like my teeth were really horrible horrible! Kalebh saw a picture of me and he couldn't stop laughing. Unfortunately, I am not ready to show it to you guys yet! HAHAHA. But back when I was younger, I had this strange habit of putting coins in between my teeth. I know right. What the hell? I felt accomplished when I could slot one in. Bah, I was a kid. What did I know right? If I knew it would have messed up my teeth so bad, pretty sure I wouldn't have done it! LOL.
So yeah, was a gap tooth little nerd kiddo. One of the main reasons as to why my teeth became so bad was also because I was still sucking on the baby's bottle even up till Primary school. I only stopped when I was in Primary 3 or 4? or was it 5? Hahah so that also resulted in my teeth messing up! So... mothers or future mothers, don't ever let your kids/future kids suck on a baby's bottle for too long because it messes your teeth up. And to get your teeth fixed is a hassle really and your kid would have to go through years of being made fun of(like I did.. :'( ) before they can eventually get braces(because of milk teeth). Used to be made fun of in Primary school. The kids used to call me a rat because my teeth made me look like one. :'( I'd go home and cry about it but oh well.... despite all that, I still had an awesome childhood lah. Hahha but screw the kids who made fun of me!
2. I need my dose of Milo every morning.
It's a really bad habit I probably have to break. Hahha, you see.... in primary school... after I stopped depending on the baby's bottle, I was still so used to drinking something every morning and so in order for me to stop relying on the baby's bottle, my mum would serve it to me in a cup instead of a milk bottle. It became a habit and eventually as I got older, I switched it up to Milo and ever since then I've been having milo almost every morning.
Call me a spoilt kiddo or whatever but I'd practically whine and even end up crying if my dad doesn't make for me milo in the morning(in secondary school... LOL). But of course, the need for milo has died down a little now. But yeah, I still need my dad to make for me milo every morning.The way he makes it is just different and extra yummy? A father's touch I guess? :P I just had a cup a couple of days ago. Hehehe.
3. I'm an insomniac.
You may or may not know this but if you're a fellow late sleeper in insomniac yourself, you'd probably see me up tweeting in the wee hours of the morning. It's not that I don't want to sleep early. It's just that I find it really hard to sleep to especially since I've just gotten so used to sleeping at like 5am or 6am.. sometimes it gets later.
I know it's definitely not healthy and as a result it caused me to have pimples and also what I dread the most right now...my horrid dark circles. I'm hoping when school starts in September, I'll go back to sleeping early.
4. I talk really fast and loud.
I don't know why but I think it runs in my mother's side of the family. Everyone just talks really fast and loudly. Of course I ain't as bad as them. Hahaha but I tend to speak really fast without even realizing and loudly as well.
My friends always have to tell me to speak softly. But the funny thing is, it sounds normal to me? Hahha who else here has a loud voice? Heh.
5. I'm a huge lover for Oldie music, country and ballads.
Scroll through my playlist and you'd probably see a whole bunch of love songs and oldies. I mean I'm fine with the music of today's generation but I don't dig it.
Ask me to choose between Don Williams and Nicki Minaj. I'd choose Don Williams any day. Music just isn't music anymore. It's all about sex, drugs and alcohol. :P
6. I'm an animal lover!
I really love animals so much! Practically any animal! Rats, pigs, horses, cows,giraffes, cats, dogs etc.... I love em all! Make me watch a video between an animal being tortured and a human being tortured... sorry to say but I'd probably cry watching the one with the animal.
One of the things I wish to do before I die... is to definitely volunteer at the SPCA! Or maybe one day who knows? I might just set up my own Pet Shelter! :)
7. I'm an adrenaline junkie!!
Cliff diving, sky diving, roller coasters, bungee jumping, River rafting, rock climbing etc.... you name it I'd do it if I could any day! I'm all for the adrenaline rush! I guess you could say I'm a really adventurous person... I'd try anything and everything because I believe you only live once, so why not? It doesn't have to be just cliff diving and all that.... I think I'd even get an adrenaline rush from trying out exotic foods! I'm hoping to try fried insects one day! Heard it doesn't taste too bad? Well I'm gonna have to try it to find out!
8. Tomboy at heart.
Yup! What do you expect when you grow up with 2 brothers right? I grew up being called a tomboy all the time. I'd wrestle with my brothers, get all icky and grimy by catching guppies in the longkang, play with toy guns etc.... the way I behaved was not very lady-like you could say. And I guess you can say that that somewhat moulded me into the person I am today. I'm a stronger person by heart. Unlike most girls when I was younger.... if someone were to bully me or bully a friend, I wouldn't really cry about it, I'd just talk about wanting to beat the fella up. HAHAHA. Ikr. Yeah but of course as the years passed by, I found my feminine side again so yeah don't worry I'm not like anymore.
But when I said I'm a stronger person today, I also meant to say that I'm able to take criticisms and I'm able to handle the hate I get once in awhile. I never let it get to me because at the end of the day I always ask myself this. "Who are they?" "Have they done enough/accomplished enough in their life to be able to put me down?" "Is it worth giving this person my attention?" As far as I'm concerned they're nobody because no name is even mentioned. I tell myself that I am a much better person than they will ever be and I let the mean comment slide past me. Sure there are times when I do get angry at some of the comments but I always tell myself that to get angry is simply not worth it because it's like battling an invisible person. You can throw as many punches and kicks as you want but what's the point? No one can see the damage. The only one who'd end up looking silly is me. So why bother right? See something hurtful? Just delete it!
9. I enjoy being Alone.
I don't know if there are lots of people like me but I do know a lot of my friends aren't. Most of them can't survive being alone. They always need someone to be with them wherever they go or they'd feel like a loner. As for me, that has never been the case. I actually do enjoy being alone. Whether it's heading to town to shop by myself, watching a movie or having a cuppa tea in Starbucks whilst reading a book... being a loner would never cross my mind. I always feel that everyone should have time to themselves every once in awhile. I know I need it to keep sane. Like if I were to be with people around me all the time I think I'd end up going bonkers one day.
10. I'm a STONER.
Yeah this happens practically everytime. My friends who know me really well should probably already know this by now. I stone all the time. We can be in the middle of a conversation and I'd suddenly just zone out and stone. Hahaha! I don't know why I do it but it just happens. :P Well that's just me I guess!
