with 0 Comments Juicypotato - Behind the Scenes .......................................................... Hey guys! :) Lately I've been very into blogging and so I've been updating more frequently! Sometimes I wanna blog but then I can't think of a topic. So if ever you have a suggestion, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll definitely consider it. :) So I don't know if you guys know what Juicypotato is... maybe you do maybe you don't. BUT. If you don't know.... Basically it's an online shop set up by my close friend, Junping and I. It was just something we decided to venture into since we had already graduated from Polytechnic and we had quite a lot of time to spare I guess. Hahah. It was really fun setting Juicypotato up for sure. From shopping for stocks, photoshoots, setting up the website etc. It was pretty exhausting but it was still really fun along the way. I think that trust is honestly the most important if you ever intend to go into a business partnership. You have to trust your business partner. And with all your heart because afterall, this will be the person you'll be splitting your hard earned money with at the end of the day. And I'm glad JP and I have always been on pretty good terms since Poly so therefore we've also built trust in each other as well. I think besides trust, it's also important to have passion in what you're doing. As for me, I've always wanted to venture into the online business ever since I was 13 or 14? I did set up a really amateur looking blogshop before. But sadly, nothing was sold. Hahaha. Now when I think about it, even I wouldn't buy the stuff I was selling.It was all really hideous. Like those ugly looking denim skirts, hideous looking khaki shorts and such... Ew.. my fashion really sucked big time. Hahah. Moreover what made it look even worse was that I used my camera phone(then... Nokia I think?) to snap pictures of my products. HAHA. What was I thinking? That I was gonna be rich overnight with such horrid looking clothing? (I really thought I would actually.... LOL FAIL) But then again, I think there was a point where all of us had a weird fashion sense la. Like do you guys remember the whole craze over the "Miss Lazy", "Miss Naughty" kinda shirts? Hahahha. It was so popular wasn't it? And there was a craze over Starbucks/Heineken printed shirts too. I know I was one of those 'suaku' people who wore these kinda shirts thinking I looked cool. I even used to wear this one really weird Blue superman t-shirt. HAHA. Back then it was very popular la. I think if you sell this now, noone would buy it at all. :P But yeah... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm really proud of 'Juicypotato'. Sure it may not be the best amongst other blogshops(the competition amongst blogshops is insane). But, I'm still really proud that I FINALLY got around to doing it. I wanted to set up an online store, and I did. :) It's such an amazing feeling knowing that people buy the clothing that I specifically handpicked one by one. Anyway here are some behind the scenes shots during Juicypotato's photoshoot! :)   So happy that I managed to get my friend Timothy to help me out. He's a really awesome and professional photographer! :)  Weng was also really nice to have helped Junping and I out, the day of the photoshoot. Carry the clothes... set up the accessories... shoes.. clothing and whatnot.  Junping!  Heheh.  Looking through the pictures and choosing the best ones to feature in the online store.  Favourite dress! :D I really love the cutting for this one! :D It's naturally flare at the bottom. Whenever I wear this, I kinda feel like 'Alice' from Alice in Wonderland for some reason. Hahaha. It comes with a really striking green belt too! I'm just thankful for having such a motivated and dedicated business partner. I don't think Juicypotato would be what it is today(or if it would have ever happened), if not for Junping. :) All in all I just want to say that...I don't know how far Juicypotato will go or if it'll ever be as big as Ohsofickle or Love Bonito,but I'm willing to give it a try and go all out for as long as you guys support us! :) So do head over to www.juicypotato.com and buy something from us to show your support so that we can keep doing this for as long as we possibly can.
